Today I offer my review and observations for an As Seen on TV product called Sensual Contour.

About Sensual Contour

Sensual Contour combines two shaping devices into a single unit: It lifts the bottom while compressing the waist.

What Sensual Contour Claims

Both the commercial and the product website claim that you can naturally flatten your abdomen (is compression really “naturally”?) while slimming your waist and lifting your buttocks. It is claimed that you can look two sizes smaller instantly.

What does it cost?

The current cost is $29.99 + $7.95 P&H… BUT there is a mandatory “Buy 1 Get 1” offer which means you have no choice but to pay a total of $15.90 for shipping of two items. Thus, your total cost will be $45.89 ($29.99+$15.90).

Sensual Contour Review: Pros and Cons

Obviously as a man I have not personally used this, but my wife has. The idea is simple, as it combines tummy-flattening compression with a butt lifting bottom combined into one garment. Perhaps surprisingly is that it actually kind of works. Butt lifting garments like these, with holes in the back where the cheeks poke through, are becoming more popular because they are effective and inexpensive. Would you rather fork over $10 for a butt lifting garment, or $10,000 for a surgical option?

The tummy flattening portion also works fine, much like you’d expect with Spanx or similar brands. It was probably only a matter of time before someone combined the two – and actually someone did before Sensual Contour hit the market (see below).

There are 4 sizes available, from small through extra-large.

Small is for a 24-inch waist and 26-inch hip. Medium is for 26.5-inch waist and 29-inch hip. Large accommodates 25-inch waists and 30-inch hips, while extra large is for 30-inch waists and 34-inch hips.

It has been our experience when evaluating products like these that it is better to err on the side of caution and choose a smaller size if you aren’t sure, or if you fall right on the cusp between sizes. This is supposed to be tight, and it won’t be as effective if the sizing is too large.

There are a number of alternative products which look, feel, and perform similarly to Sensual Contour. Take a look at the wealth of offerings over on Amazon and you’ll find a wide variety of similar products.

One caveat: Going to the bathroom is a bit problematic, as you have to essentially pull the entire thing down. Most women, however, are happy to sacrifice convenience for style.

Conclusion

In the end (pun intended) my wife and I found nothing wrong with Sensual Contour. That said, there is no compelling reason to choose it over similar and much cheaper alternatives on the market.
